The Vatican is, of course, a must see in Italy. I am by no means a religoius person, but the beauty and magnitude of the building and its surroundings trancends all that. I was compelled to spend the day there, finding different spots around the central building to relax in and appreciate the importance of this place to so many people.

This is the central piazza in front of the vatican, and i believe there are masses held here. The layout of the main building is an almost-closed semi-circle, and it gives the feeling of being embraced.

this is a spot that i found very neat, and spent some time here. the roman columns make you feel very small, and in a little nook as this, you are kept cool nobody bothers you!
