yes, everyone must see the coliseum "when in rome". it is pretty cool to see it in person, and to remember all the things that occured here. But modern life has touched Rome like everywhere else, and the juxtaposition of a highway running around this ancient ruin is a bit perplexing, but i guess the world trudges on. |
|  | more old stuff.. who knows what went on here? but thank goodness it is still around for us to admire, and remember how old our world is. The romans built things to last, and they are a wonderful way to remind us that history is not just words in books, this stuff really went on. |
|  | The Spanish Steps The Spanish Steps are a cool place to just hang out and people watch. its quite touristy, but, youre a tourist. The building to the right is where Yeats died. There is great, though expensive, shopping on the street leading up to the Steps. |
