My friends (Hue and Dawn) and I just recently agreed that we're going to hike all 9 peaks of the San Gorgonio Wilderness (listed above). It came about after we hiked the San Gorgonio Summit last July 12th, not for peak bagging reason but more on getting a good work-out. We are going to do it from the highest to the lowest peaks and then end it with a bang or I should say end with "pain" by hiking from peak to peak (30 miles, 9200ft elev. gain) in 1 day?! We'll see!

So first peak is San Gorgonio, the rooftop of Southern California. This is a trip every SoCal hiker should make at least once (1 is more than enough). The view from the top, on cloudless days, encompasses a 360-degree view of Coachella Valley to the Tehachapis, from Pacific to the Mojave Desert.

I've always wanted to hike San Gorgonio Mountain! I'm going to have to read this page carefully. And yep, my phone did give out. Sorry about that.
