I had a underlying reason to head to Paris with my girlfriend for the last week of 2005 and New Years eve. Paris is the "City of Lights" and full of romance -- and thus, I chose this location to ask my girlfriend to marry me. She said YES! Otherwise, I don't think I would have necessarily headed to this city in the winter. It was COLD! And surpisinly enough there were LOADS of people! We had to stand in lines for almost everything -- tables at restaurants and cafes, muesums, churches -- everything thing you can think. Despite this -- Paris is Paris and we had a great time.
