Boipeba is a wonderful getaway! Off the beaten path, south Salvador, Boipeba is a place with excellent beaches (what else?) with a super laid back atmosphere. This is a place that has yet to be discovered ... as apparently 24 hr electricy and modern wonders have only arrived here in the last 10 years. Beach bars run out of ice by the end of the day - it's that kind of place!

Other than sitting on the beach and wasting the day away -- you can hop on a boat and travel to other beaches up or down the coast. In either of these locations there are natural pools in the coral reefs created when the tide goes out -- leaving loads of fish for you to see and swim with!
