  • In the Wadi Rum, I recommend the campground/resthouse (mainly because its the only place to stay)
for a tent, I believe the price was about $5 US per night

Unique Qualities: The only place to stay...but also, there's something great about camping out in the desert (it also has a restaurant that serves great food)

  • For about 10 dollars US per night, you get a bed a hot shower (if you time it right) and breakfast.

Unique Qualities: The Araba is excellent. The staff is great. They have a kitchen where they'll cook you food, and a great lounge where you can sit and enjoy tea, coffee, and all the Sheesha you want to smoke while watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Lawrence of Arabia (two fine films that were both filmed in Jordan)

    Theme: Hostel
    Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: The Araba is located up the hill from the main part of town. As you are pulling into town, it will be one of the first places you pass on the right.
