Anacortes is a wonderful little town on Fidalgo Island in NW Washington State. It has the ambience of a fishing village and does not have the cutesy touristy feel that so many coastal towns succumb to. Drive up to Cap Sante for a terrific view of Fidalgo Bay and the harbor at Anacortes. |

| | Mt Baker looms to the east from Anacortes. North Cascades Natl Park is a short drive from Anacortes. So many things are within a couple of hours: Vancouver, Seattle, the Cascades, the San Juans. |
Cap Sante is a fantastic viewpoint for seeing the views around Anacortes. | | |
