Arches National Park

Mark and Eileen at Arches National Park
Even in March it was quite busy at Arches National Park. This meant that some of the more accessible trails were downright crowded. We stayed in Moab, which is a trendy little town booming in response to the slickrock bikers.

This is where we took our first walk of the day. It was still pretty chilly at Arches in March. Our first hike of the morning was in snow and it was a bit too cold for me. The day got warmer, and we stayed out of the hills, and it got gradually more comfortable for walking.

Sunset was best

This wall is near the entrance, and we drove past it several times at different times of day. Each time the different angles of the sun brought out a new and beautiful landscape

Pros:"Close to Moab, incredible scenery, variety of trails"
Cons:"A little bit crowded"
In A Nutshell:"I liked Canyonlands better"
