One of our stops in Syria was Aleppo. We were surprised by the size of the city. 2-3 million inhabitants. That's big when you live in the Netherlands.
Aleppo is a nice city. It has some beautiful parks, a citadel, an interesting souk and (according to my wife) a great Hamman.
Due to some fever I spend half the day I was in Aleppo in my bed. But I saw almost everything I wanted to see, except the Armenian quarter. One day (two nights) is enough to get an impression of the city. If you have time, stay two days so you will see more than only the highlights. |
