Getting TO/AROUND: You'll find that getting around Boston is easily accomplished by taking the subway or by walking. When looking for a hotel, find one that is close to the "T" or is centrally located.
Cabs are available, but the "T" is a fraction of the cost.
After you check the T fares, you might opt for the Visitor's Pass.
Historical Note:
The "T" is short for the MBTA. It is not the biggest but it was the first subway system that was built in the USA.
The different lines on the "T" are color coded and it's hard to get lost. Although...
It was also the subject of a song that was sung by the Kingston Trio. The song was the story of a man, Poor Charlie, who got on the MBTA .
As the song goes, "He may ride forever beneath the streets of Boston and his fate may never be learned ..."
