I have to travel to Victoria fairly often for work and I have really come to appreciate the picturesque, quiet city on Vancouver Island that is the capital of BC. There are plenty of nice hotels and restauarant to choose from. In the winter Victoria is extremely uneventful (mostly government types and retirees left) but in the summer, tourists descend on the city and island, taking in all the natural beauty and great weather the area has to offer. At most times of the year I find that the weather in Victoria is a little better than in Vancouver.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Mild climate, beautiful scenery
Cons:Sometimes a little too quiet
