Getting TO/AROUND: Platform 1 for Eastbourne and stations to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.

Platform 2 for Hastings and Ashford International - Change at St Leonards Warrior Square for trains to London Charing Cross.

Recently completely refurbished, this station has the longest station platforms in the country to do the high volume of school children who were once sent here in the early part of the 20th century, from other parts of the UK, to study at the innumerable private schools in the area. These have all long since closed but the long platforms remain - serving no real purpose as most of the trains stopping here now are only two carriages long. The platforms could easily accomodate a train of 8 or 10 carriages.
