| | A small town on the south coast Bexhill is a small south coast town between Eastbourne and Hastings (which is where everyone goes). There is a large elderly population here and they love bungalows. It's a nice place to bring up small children but they grow up and move on...mostly.
It was once a thriving Edwardian seaside resort and many of the houses were built in that grand and elegant style.
It has a theatre - The De la Warr Pavilion which is currently being renovated, a swimming pool, an amusement hall, a leisure centre, a station for trains to Hastings and Brighton, some shops, a bowling alley and several pubs, and small restaurants and cafes. Oh and of course it has it's best feature... a pebbly beach, which is clean and this summer has life guards. |
