A family wedding brought us to this little village in Sachsen Anhalt, approximately 7km from the East German city of Magdeburg. I didn't really see too much of the village as most of the wedding celebrations were held elsewhere - This page is really about the hotel complex where most of the wedding guests stayed and which was stunning and luxurious and offering superb quality at very reasonable prices! |
| | The hotel complex covers quite a big area and the surrounding buildings have been converted from their original use, such as the corn house and the brewery, into various types of accommodation. |

Anchovy56 Thu Oct 4, 2007 19:05 UTC Wow was it once a castle? Did sexy nuns trick passing Knights by putting a fake Holy Grail image in the tower? :o) | Leipzig Sat Aug 4, 2007 10:00 UTC I love such tiny towns - must confess I have never been to Wanzleben although I only live a few miles away. That hotel really sounds wonderful. | Jim_Eliason Sun May 6, 2007 00:02 UTC Great tips! | yumyum Tue Feb 27, 2007 18:56 UTC What a lovely castle hotel! I think the Wanzleben is also very funny. |
