Getting TO/AROUND: The tram (number 6) from the airport runs every couple of minutes, costs just 2.10E and is the most convenient method of transportation to the city centre.

Once you are in the city, look out for them when crossing the roads! If you come from a city that doesn't have trams, they can catch you unawares as they come round corners and from every direction and have you running for the safety of the pavement! :)

Getting TO/AROUND: We travelled by train from Bremen to Diepholz and beyond. We bought a Niedersachsen Tageskarte for just 26E (or 13E each) which can be used for up to 5 people for the entire day, all over the region until 3am the next day - a real bargain as we had a lot of travelling to do that day and it saved us a small fortune in fares!

This is a central station and as well as local trains, you can catch an IC train to many other German cities including Hamburg, Magdeburg, Berlin etc, and also Schiphol (Amsterdam!).

Through the Deutsche Bahn website it is now possible to book AND print your tickets in advance of your trip. Check the website for details.
