Some about my homw town.
I don't define Hanoi as a very very beautiful city, but as a very cute and interesting one. Every street in the Old Quarter has its own story behind. The more you know it, the more you love it.
My favorit things in Hanoi are (among many others)
- Foods. Vietnamese cuisine learns much from Chinese and French kitchens. And Hanoi is a big kitchen for you, all day and night.
- Lakes: You would be amazed if known how many lakes it had. Sadly these lakes are disappearing for housing.
- Old Quarter: Most street name starts with "Hang", means "product" and then name of the main product traded in that street not long time ago. Such as: Hang Tre is "street of Bamboo", Hang Bong is "street of Cotton", Hang Mam is "street of fish sauce". Interesting, isn't it? |
