"Dundee" Dundee by uglyscot

Dundee is another place I visited in my youth, long before I knew of VT, so I have few memories and no photos from those days.
On a train journey from Edinburgh to Aberdeen in 2009, we passed through Dundee and I managed to get a few poor shots to justify claiming a page.

Dundee is actually a good place to stay if wanting to explore the area.
In the town itself is St Mary's Parish Church , originally built in 1190. It has fine 19th and 20th century stained glass windowas.
The Discovery Centre is the place to go to learn more about RRS Discovery, and Robert Falcon Scott's journey to be the first to reach the South Pole/

Further afield is Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother; Dunnottar Castle at Dunecht and Scone Palace [30 minutes away] , the former seat of the Kings of Scotl
And if interested in early inhabitants of Scotland, visit Pictavia at Brechin Castle Centre and Country Park.
