Kew Gardens Travel Guide: 98 reviews and 345 photos

Kew Gardens are near Richmond, and make a wonderful location for spending a day. Lawns and trees make you forget London is just beyond the gates to the Gardens.
Of course, Kew is best known for its glass houses with plants from all over the world, brought by intrepid travellers in the past. There is also a research station where plants are identified and seed samples of each plant are kept .

The Pavillion is a known landmark, and the Chinese Pagoda.
Every few years rare plants flower and visitors rush to see them before they die.
The giant water lilies are another favourite attraction, and the palm house.
There is a section on evolution too.
