"Fantastic scenery and interesting towns" Powys by uglyscot
Powys Travel Guide: 192 reviews and 540 photos
The scenery in this area is wonderful with hills, waterfalls, valleys and a patchwork of fields n various shades of green and brown. I might not have the peaks of Snowdonia , nor the Becon Beacons, but a gentler, sofer landscape. The narrow roads swoop up and down the hills, and towns and villages are few and far between.
From Merthyr Tidfil to Builth Wells you climb hills drive along the river, and lose yourself in an oasis of peace and tranquility. This route makes a most enjoyable day trip, and offers campers and hikers great opportunities..
This is the chief town of Powys. It was a spa town and full of hotels. The architectyure is interesting with a large number of red brick buildings, interesting windows.
The communitycontributed to a copper dragon situsted in the lake. The initials of those who contributed are engraved on the dragon's scales.

Wonderful scenery for a romantic holiday. Your pictures, esp. those featuring the mist, are superb.
