Rome wasn't built in a day, but 24 hours was all I had to visit this eternal city. I did not go inside any of the museums, but I did manage to throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain and have a gelato, to see all the main sights from St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican to the Colosseum, and to stroll through the main piazzas, ending with a pizza dinner in the Roman twilight. With so much history and so many great sights, it didn't matter how long I stayed, my memories of Rome will be eternal. |
