after a bit of travelling and contemplating living a year or 2 in singapore and working overseas... Melbourne is the home that i will always come back to. Just like running to mum when you feel lost, Melbourne is the place to come back to when you're tired of the world.

I'm very excited about all the new construction projects happening around the city and the Docklands recently.

I curiously went through other people's pages and have read many bad reviews on this place about how there is nothing to do here!? I extremely beg to differ.

Crown is situated along the Southbank area along the yarra river. a 15 minute (non stop) walk from flinders station to here is a relaxing and visually pleasing experience itself both day and night time.

maybe for a tourist there are better places to spend the daytime but this is an excellent place at night time expecially on friday and saturday, or during the day on public holidays or when there is a show happening across the road at the new exhibition centre.

with regards to "culture", melbourne is indeed a western city. What better way to see "culture" then to witness melbournians at leisure? getting dressed up at night time ready for a nice riverside dinner or a good night at bars and clubs there? during public holidays and special events crown is dotted with families and prams licking ice creams and young'ins sipping coffee. and if you're a gambler... the casino offers excellent service that you just won't want to leave (and thats exactly what they aim for!)

so in a nutshell... there are things to do here... crown is the place to be on a saturday night!
