I was approximately six years old when my uncle took me to see the lift bridge. His neighbor worked the bridge and we were allowed up into the control house. Then the bridge lifted with us on board to let a ship go through. | Rabbityama Mon Sep 18, 2006 22:04 UTC

Nice pics & tips. Spent a week there with my cousins in the '40s. Port was busier then with iron ore. Duluth had a great beer made with Lake Superior water and downtown tasting room, but can't recall the brand. Doug |
