This may draw the fine line between exploitation and outrage but... the sign this person is holding reads, "Why lies... It's for beer!" It may seem amusing but when I photogaphed this, someone told me a few blocks back they saw someone holding a sing that read, "It's for pot."

I always seemed to be walking uphill in San Fran as well:-) also stayed in Nob HIll. Loved the atmosphere of Chinatown. Never saw the signs of those panhandlers though.. very honest!! Nic pics too. | b1bob Sat Jul 23, 2005 03:51 UTC
