The coldest Winter I ever spent was the Summer I spent in San Francisco.
—Mark Twain
The Goldengate Bridge is 1.7 miles long and can sway 27 feet in all directions due to the strong winds.
the Golden Gate Bridge
My hotel was on Nob Hill. about 3 blocks from Chinatown and went there 3 times. The first time I went there was to see the place, the second time I went back for dinner at a place someone in my hotel suggested (awesome meal BTW. I went a place called Hunan Homs for dinner) and the third time I went to photograph Chinatown at night. I want someone to explaine something to me about San Francisco, Chinatown was only about 3 blocks from my hotel and it was all uphill walking but going back to my hotel was also an uphill walk, why is that?
I went to The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA as it's called) right after visiting The Golden Gate Bridge. They have this huge skylight that's oval shaped with a grid in it and on sunny days this sky light makes the coolest shadow patterns on the walls inside SFMoMA.
- In a nutshell:I can't wait to go back.

Greg, about your uphill walking conundrum-Confucius say "Man who live on side of hill, not on level" lol Doug (^_^)
I always seemed to be walking uphill in San Fran as well:-) also stayed in Nob HIll. Loved the atmosphere of Chinatown. Never saw the signs of those panhandlers though.. very honest!! Nic pics too.
Nice job.
I left my heart...in San Francisco, down by the ...(LOL) great pages. I miss it so!
Delightful pages of a lovely city Greg ... stunning pictures. You really had me there with the walking uphill to China Town story ???
San Francisco is indeed a lovely city. I did not get to see Chinatown this trip, but i'll sure to make it next time. I love ur pic of the Golden Grate Bridge.....Beautiful!!!!!! Cheers
Thanks for the comment on my San Fran page. It was pretty amazing to see Maya Angelou.
Very nice page Greg, helpful info and good pics as always! I'd love to go there some day...how are you doing?
What! No sea lion on the menu at the Sea Lion Cafe? I'd settle for the seafood chowder in a sourdough bowl any day. Great pages on one of our favorite cities.
I want to get here sometime to see Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz for sure!
