Singapore City

First of all, we didn't plan to come here coz. it's really close to Thailand. But 4D/3N narrowed our choices to Asian country and we picked Singapore. 4D/3N was enough time to explore Sg. but we couldn't visit all interesting places. It's very easy to travel here. With those tiny maps we got from Lonely Planet, we didn't get lost at all! We're really impressed on their streets and public transportation. We can find foods in any places, shopping malls in any streets. It's also rich in cultures; Chinese, Indian, Malay, Peranakan, etc. well .. only within walking distances, we could move from one culture to another!

Pros:"Clean and structured city."
Cons:"Too much rains on my visits."
In A Nutshell:"Diversed cultures packed in a compact city."

I am afraid that you were swindled by the hawker. Newton Hawker Center has the dubious reputation of swindling tourists. As a Singaporean, I do not eat there - there are better hawker centers elsewhere. Neither do I bring tourists there.

Looks like you had a great time in Singapore. Thanks for visiting our little island. There are many places for good food in Singapore ... just like Bangkok! =) cheers!
