Amsterdam was great choice for Chrismtas vacation trip. Not as crowded as in the summer, pretty streets looked even better with holiday lights and Christmas decorations.

This city is so small compare to the places that i'm used to (a single region of my counrty is bigger than the entire Holland :)). Seems like people are good neighbours 'cause they live so close to each other. When your windows look strait to someone else's window you either have to have good curtains or behave good :)

Don't forget to look up to the roofs when walking around the city. Amsterdam houses have their own unique "faces". Most of people find those houses very skinny. The reason is that all buildings used to be taxed by the width of fasades so amsterdammers tried to make houses narrow but tall.
