The castle of Eppstein

Eppstein is a town in the Taunus mountains, about 30 km west of Frankfurt and 17 km north east of Wiesbaden. The formerly independent villages of Bremthal, Ehlhalten, Niederjosbach and Vockenhausen are also part of Eppstein.
Eppstein has a picturesque old town, not big but with several half-timbered houses and small streets. One of the main sight is the ruined castle, located on a small hill in the old town. Eppstein is located in a small valley and there are many hiking paths from which you can enjoy the view on Eppstein and the area.
