"Hemer: a cave and rocks" Hemer by himalia11

Hemer Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 4 photos

Hemer is situated in the so-called Sauerland in Westfalen. In the east of Hemer, you'll find a valley called "Hönnetal". I haven't seen much of it, but what I saw was nice: a small valley with rocks and a little river. There are several hiking paths and I'm sure it's nice to walk there. More can be found on the Hoennetal page (German only)

Our destination however was the cave Heinrichshöhle ("Henry cave") and the nature reserve "Felsenmeer" with some rocks next to it. A nice place for a short visit and walk - see my travel tips! More information on the cave and the nature reserve can be found at www.hiz-hemer.de (has an English summary).
