Langeoog is one of the seven East Frisian islands, in the North Sea. The name comes from the "lange" which means long in Frisian, and "oog" which means island. And compared to the other East Frisian islands, the island is really pretty long. Langeoog has almost 20 square kilometers and there's only one village.
Langeoog is a popular holiday destination in summer and I guess it's much more busy then than in November when we were there. And with not allowing any cars (except a few electric ones) on the island we found this to be a really idyllic place, like in a picture book!
