Neuerburg is a town in the South Eifel, about 50 km north-west of Trier. It's located in the valley of the river Enz, in a mountainous area, and it's a nice place to spend a few days.
Although Neuerburg does not have much inhabitants (less than 2000 as of my web research, I wonder if this is true) it has a tourist information (which is in the hotel Euvea), more than one supermarket, a hospital, lots of restaurants and several hotels and other accommodations. The town was bigger than I expected and offers lots of sights. We've been there only two nights, and I could have stayed longer!
The region is great for hiking with several signed hiking paths, and there are lots of possibilities for excursions. Plus, it's just 20 minutes by car to Luxembourg – in case you want to get some cheap fuel. :-)
