Bus routes from/to Mellieha and other Mellieha, Malta Transportation Tips

Getting TO/AROUND: To travel to/from Mellieha, you can take the bus route Valetta – Mellieha – Cirkewwa (ferry to Gozo). From Mellieha Bay, it takes about 1 hour to Valetta. There’s also a bus route to Buggiba, and I think also one that goes from Mellieha Bay to Anchor Bay (Popeye Village). The buses go regularly, we never had to wait more than 15 minutes when we went direction Valetta.

There are the following bus routes:
Route 43: Valetta – Mellieha center
Route 44: Valetta – Mellieha center - Mellieha Bay
Route 45: Valetta - Mellieha center - Cirkewwa
Route 48: Bugibba – Cirkewwa

The best would be to get a map with all the bus routes. And ask the bus driver where he goes to so that you don’t find yourself in the wrong bus!
