Potsdam is a nice city close to Berlin with several parks with castles and other sights. You can spent quite a long time there to visit all!
We went there with the houseboat that we had rented in Brandenburg-Plaue and stayed in Potsdam for two nights, after already having visited Berlin by boat. This region is a great place for boating, the lakes of the Havel river around Potsdam are very nice!
