Lassithi plateau and Dikti cave Lasithi Prefecture Review

The Lassithi is an interesting place, too. Already the drive to it and the fantastic view from the mountain pass is worth a visit. You really have make a rest there! You’ll also have a nice view from the entrance of the Diktean cave. It’s said that Zeus was born in this cave. You can believe this myth or not, in any case the cave has some pretty dripstones. It takes 15 minutes on foot to climb up to the entrance, and than you have to go down about 200 stairs. It’s wet and cold, a pullover is not false!

Directions: In the Eastern part of Crete.

Knossos Knossos Review

Probably everybody has heard of Knossos. And thanks to our guide who has repeated it thousand times, I’ll never forget that Sir Arthur Evans has uncovered the palace. It’s interesting to walk through this ruins, especially if you consider how old they are. If you are interested in seeing what has been found at this site, you have to go to the archaeological museum in Heraklion.
