Dinant is a small city at the river Meuse. I had expected the valley to be more narrow, but it seems to be only like this on the one side, where you find high rocks. At the top of a cliff, you'll see the citadel. Immediately under the citadel, in the town, there is the church of Notre Dame. Both look beautiful together - this is probably the most photographed subject of Dinant!
From the citadel, you have a great view on the city and the Meuse valley!

Dinant is quite liveley and there was lot of traffic when we were there. It was a Sunday, I don't know if it's less busy... more travel advice

Had to laugh, your young (1820) for us is quite Old!! I have just been doing tips on lots of "old" towns. Another nice opening shot!
