"Greetings from Beselich!" Schupbach by himalia11
Schupbach Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 12 photos
Beselich is a municipality of four villages: Obertiefenbach, Niedertiefenbach, Schupbach (where I live since last year!) and Heckholzhausen. It is situated in the Westerwald mountains, between Limburg and Weilburg. Beselich has around 6000 inhabitants, so its villages are all quite little. Sometimes I have the impression that there are more horses than inhabitants...
There’s nothing really special to see here, so Beselich is rather unknown. But nevertheless it has nice places and offers good possibilities for walking and excursions!
Next bigger towns are Limburg (10 km) and Weilburg (13 km), both situated at the river Lahn. Limburg has a beautiful old town and cathedral, and in Weilburg (also a medieval town) you can visit a nice castle/palace and there’s also a little crystal cave.
If you are interested in castles, you’ll find ruins at Freienfels (20 km, not far away from the crystal cave), where a huge medieval festival takes place every year. And in Runkel (9 km), a nice village at the river Lahn, there’s a castle that is only partly ruined.

Lovely village you live in!
Well done Angela! I'd love to see that area, even in snow and fog. Thanks!
I had heard of Oberwiesenbach, but Schupbach was new to me. Thanks for telling me about it.
Mmm, 3 years ago I visited many places in Germany, but not your hometown., and never mind about the Maltese currency, any advice about Malta?

Looks like a nice little place where you are living now. I must admit I had never heard of a rotated church before. Interesting tips!
Schupbach looks great with these halftimbered houses !
