Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the 2nd biggest city of Scotland (after Glasgow). It is located at the east coast south of the Firth of Forth and from the hills in & around Edinburgh you have nice view on the firth.

We found Edinburgh to be a lovely city with lots to see. All the old houses are very nice, the castle is just great and if the weather had been better we probably would have spent much more time in the Princes Garden below the castle. Most of the time we were walking around, explored the city and enjoyed the view on the city from the hills. We've been just one day in Edinburgh, and I now understand why so much people say that this is not enough, there had been much more to see!
