Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne is a little village in Franche Comté (Doubs department). It's located 44 km south of
Besançon and 13 km east of
Salins-les-Bains.
Apart from the museum "Taillanderie", a factory which which once produced cutting tools and mainly scythes, you find a great natural site close to the village: the Source du Lison. It's not only the source of the Lison river that you find here, but also a nice waterfall and a cave. We spend two hours there as we enjoyed it much and were curious to discover all the interesting sights there. It's very well signed, with information on how much minutes you'll have to walk and with information plates in French, English and German.
