Living in the south of Hamburg I don't often get the chance to visit Schleswig-Holstein which is very unfortunate. This northern Bundesland has much to offer and many different things to see.

Currently the places in Schleswig-Holstein that I have tips for are:

Ahrensburg
Friedrichsrüh
Glückstadt
Kiel
Timmerdorfer Strand/Travemunde

If I get more tips for one place I'll put them under their own heading.

Pros and Cons

Pros:lovely little towns to larger ports, a quick drive to Denmark
Cons:Not much in the way of landscape. Its pretty flat
