"Pulau Dayang - Very Nice Dive Site" Pulau Dayang by elainetan7906
Pulau Dayang Travel Guide: 24 reviews and 127 photos
This is Pulau Dayang, Off Mersing jetty. Its belong to Johor. Very near to Tioman Island. Have a average visibility among the island of east coast.
You need a driving journey of 4 1/2 hours to get to Mersing, Johor, and a boat ride to Dayang about 4 hours... make sure you enjoy the trip there.... But don't worry, you will... of cause the point is "WITH ME" lah....
I like this island very much. this is the island that I was finishing my Open Water Course - Beginner of Scuba Diving.
Easy Diving - cos all the dive site are very near to the island, maximum is Pinacle around 1/2 hour....
Best dive site - Rayner's Rock. Big fish, sometime the current are strong... can't even move yourself, and you need to dive like a "Spider man", aiming the next rock to hold on.... but good experience.
Pinnacle - Its almost like a Nudibranch Garden, you can see them everywhere. If you don't see, I wonder have you dive there before. Beside that, you could see batfish cleaning centre, which the batfish will come by, and some small tiny fish will help them cleaning some stuff around their body... like manta cleaning.... but this is small case compare to them... I mean MANTA RAY !! The underwater creature that I always wish to see....
the rest of the dive site is quite good, like : Pulau Lang - which plp sight whale shark there around 12 meter of water. Captain's point which could go down to 40 over meter.... and a lot more....
Imagine yourself sitting next to the beach, having your breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner.....
Is open air.... is wonderful experience while eating... wind blowing.... but weird thing.... I never meet raining day while eating....!! Interesting?
This is what we do at night... usually Nizam will play guitar while everybody are singing, drinking.....having some snacks....
For your info, that long hair guys are e diving instructor..... very experience and nice guys...
- Pros:Nice environment, Nice Dive sites....
- Cons:Long Journey... around 10 hours to get there.. back journey ??
- In a nutshell:I love Dayang, will always want to go back again !!
