Fiesta sa Gadan (literally Feast for the Dead) is the All Saints Day (to be continued)
(to be continued)
Roman-Catholic Matnog celebrates its town fiesta in honor of the Holy Infant Jesus every May 15-17. This is one of the occasions when the town proper is teeming with people and bustling with different activities.
It highlights a religious fluvial procession, sports competition usually Basketball among the town's different villages, a town parade featuring winners of "Miss Matnog" beauty pageant, and a barayle (public dance) at the town's Rizal park.
This occasion is also the time when town residents would prepare and serve their own "special dishes" for their family, visiting relatives, friends and even strangers.
