Shell collectors would find it in abundance on Matnog coastal areas and islands. Residents are not that keen on collecting shells perhaps its not one of their primary concerns; thus, somewhat ignored.
Some sea shells from Matnog have ended up in the hands of non-Filipino collectors and buyers.

Summer (March to May) is a suitable time for island hopping off Matnog coast, a local boatman with motorized outrigger can be hired for about a 1,000 Peso to take you to places notably the white-sandy Ticling island, Juag, Calintaan (where Subic beach is), among others.
