...ARSENAL IN PRAGUE...

by neilward - last update: Oct 26, 2005

View from the terrace

This is from the hotel U Princes terrace, what do you think, impressed??
I thought (with my British mentality,I'm going to get ripped off here)
.....I should've known better, not a bit of it ,2 gorgeous...yes...hot chocolates for only 200 krone,We could learn so much here in UK on how to treat, not just tourists, but our own people. No need to rip people off,if they're treated right they'll come back after telling their friends...
Aint light great ??

Night time Prague...More in my Travelogue

I thought this was a wonderful city to explore during the day,in the evening the whole place seems to change.
We wandered round in awe of the whole place, this is the Hotel U Prince in the main square, opposite the Astronomical Clock.
They have a terrace on the 6th floor,I strongly recommend going up there and have a drink and a look at all around.
The views are simply breathtaking.
SPOOOKY ISNT IT ???

If you've not been...GO !!!

What a fantastic, historical, wonderful city Prague is,Its my first trip to the Czech republic.
It wont be my last.
We flew out with Easyjet from Bristol,my first time with them, suitably impressed.Landed early, had to wait to clear passport control, but that seems to be the norm.Unfortunately the hotel transport didnt turn up so we ordered one of the minibus's from the front of arrivals. No problems there.
We spent 4 days there and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip, everything from public transport(very clean and punctual) to the wonderful architecture this city has.Where ever you looked theres history and character, which many cities are lacking.
But with the cheaper airfares that are out there now and of course VT,peoples like you and I can go and see more, experience alot more of the lesser known spots in and around Europe.Hopefully cheaper airfares will be coming to longer haul flights.
The final part of the trip topped the whole thing of,we had 1300krone left, and decided to "waste" it in the casino at the airport.Changed our cash into chips and walked over to the Blackjack table,
I've never been in a casino before,so we asked the girl at the table..."What do we do?"
She smiled and explained,so off we went, lost the first 2 hands, then our luck changedand we started winning,in 5 minutes we went from 1300 to 6500 krone. We then decided to cash in and catch our plane ,So needless to say,a great time was had by all, except the casino staff who looked unhappy !!!!

Wea te at this restaurant and found it rather expensive and not even particularly good food. The wine was also expensive, about £20 for a bottle of Czech white, which was not great.

Have a hot chocolate at Rivoire's in Firenze. You won't believe it, but it is worth the trip :))
