The Bridge of Sighs. and other Venice, Italy Things to Do Tips

I know its an old cliche' but when in Rome,it is a lovely piece of architecture and you imagine the prisoners looking out and seeing Venice for the last time.
This bridge is not to be confused with another "similar"looking bridge just 50 metres away !!!!!!(See next photo !!!)
When we were there a couple of beggars had set up base on the bridge,they weren't rude or offensive as mant of them can be.

Campanile and its Views: Fantastic Views

This is the Camponile Tower, rebuilt in 1902 after it collapsed,thankfully they had a lift installed in 1962.it costs 6 euros to go up,opens at 09.30 til dusk and was well worth it.The views are wonderful,these photos were taken early morning.

Palazzo Ducale: Lovely building

What a terrific view...

They started building this place in the 9th century,it started life as a fortified castle,but was destroyed by several fires.More work was carried out later in the 14th and 15th centuries.This is when The Palace started to take shape and get the gothic appearance.
Unfortunately we never had time to go inside and have a look round,but the outside of this wonderful building presents many a photo opportunity,as you can see.
The only trouble is knowing which ones to use,so I've put alot in !!!!
Hope they're not to boring,but I feel I must share them with you.
