Maria and I love the song "Truly,Madly,Deeply"by Savage Garden,especially the line "I want to stand with you on a mountain".I thought that would be the ideal place to propose.
Time for one of my special surprises !!!!!!!!!
So firstly Maria and I went to see The Purple man of Pop...Prince in London,fantastic concert.
Left there for Stansted airport,and a secret flight to Salzburg,we love our mountains...Got to Salzburg,eventually getting to our hotel.
So off we went Maria,me and my ever heavy rucksack !!!!!!
Our nearest mountain was The Predigtstuhl,in the beautiful town of Bad Reichenhall.
Up we went, in the old but reliable cable car,passing over some fantastic scenery.
20 minutes later we`re there,Maria wanders off taking some photos,oblivious to what I was doing....

I had bought up a personal cd player,2 speakers,and some nerve, overlooking some gorgeous German/Austrain mountains.

As she got closer,I pressed play and away the song started,I got down on one knee,with a beautiful Diamond ring in my hand and popped the question.....

And Im happy to report she said YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam and I had a quick 24 trip to Paris for his 9th birthday,he`s always wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower,so who am I to deny him that wish...

Its amazing how much of one city you can see in 24 hours if you really want to.

Easter has been a difficult time for me and my family,since April 1993 when our darling daughter Annie died from cot death.

These pictures were taken during my epic adventure to Peru with 30 other intrepid and excited trekkers from UK.
Between us we raised nearly £90,000 in sponsorship. The monies raised are for the Foundation for Studies into Infant Deaths,Cot Death.
Providing support and research in to why this is still happening to 7 families a week in UK alone.
They were there when we needed them in 1993 when we lost our little Annie,so its something I feel very passionate about.

...And relax...

Just returned from a 6 day break with Billy and Sam to Duinrell in Holland,fantastic place plenty to see and do.Busy trying to juggle work and uploading VT pages.
On the way there we stopped overnight in Dover and met nhcram (Natalie) and her husband Chris,they showed around a few sights in Dover,had a couple of beers ,as you do,and that helped round off a good day.

This was taken on day 4 of the trek to Machu Picchu,with only 4 hours trekking to go,we all fell asleep within minutes of stopping.
Notice on the right,this was Chatow,the guides dog,who seems to think his dogs gay !!!!
He travel with us every step and even showed Beej and I the last 2 miles..............

I love this town,not just the tower,but the people are very friendly,great food,and I have been very lucky with the weather on both occasions.
I`ve a few more pictures to update my page with,take a look and tell me what you think.
We never had the pleasure of my favourite 2 Italian beauties this time,Azhut and her partner in crime Pollon but we still managed to have an excellent time.

Some of you may have noticed the new colours in my pages,thanks to CoAir13 for putting me in the right direction,(thanks Jen),Billy will be impressed that I`m managing to embrace the 21st Century !!!!

Another 24 hour trip to Venice,I`m a man of impulse,especially with these "No Frills" airlines,well when you can get 3 people to places like Venice for only £100 return...You have to go don`t you !!!????
