Heidelberg is one of those places that captures your heart from the very first visit.
My first visit was in May 2008 and I visited again in July just two months later with Chris.
I was so keen to show him this beautiful city with its' castle perched high on a hill overlooking the rooftops of the city and the narrow lanes below.
The city has so much to offer from lovely little coffee shops to the museums and off course the river Neckar.
It also houses the oldest university in Germany which was founded in 1386.
There is also an excellent shopping area in the city.
Whether you are in the old town or in the castle, Heidelberg is full of history and the next sight is never far away. |
