I saw beyond the cold weather.... My husband, son and I arrived on a cold, rainly and miserable day in April and at first I thought 'my goodnes this is awful' BUT the next day we awoke to a fantastic friendly city with a warm heart. The medieval look and cobbled streets were a pleasure to stroll down, Small cosy bars and lovely local restaurants were a treat for all. HAving been here once I wanted to visit again and came here in December 2006 with a friend. We stayed in a hotel about 20 minutes walk from the centre along the river and I enjyed it as much this time as I did the first time. It was a couple of weeks before Christmas and the markets went on well into the evening selling amber food and decoratoins. So much to tempt you I must say. |
