I came here with VT friend Ursula (Alusru) and some other friends just after Christmas. The lakeside vilage is quaint and boasts several beautiful buildings and a gorgeous church. There are some lovely coffee houses and of course the place is famous for an operetta that was set in Wolfgangsee. Two comedy producers from Berlin, during a visit to the area were inspired to create a comical tale, setting it in St Wolfgang because of it's beauty. I would imagine in the summer season it would be very busy and there is only one car park! Luckily cars are not normally permitted in the village. |
