We only spent a few hours here on our way back from the Lake District and as we were hungry and needed to stretch our legs we decided that Southport would fit the bill. We had some scrummy fish and chips and had a good walk along the front before witnessing one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. I am sure this town has more to offer and weill come back here again one day. |

jumpingnorman Wed Feb 25, 2009 22:33 UTC Looks like a nice place to walk around at sunset...with the chips, of course, hehehe...love the bridge, and my kids would love the carousel....Norman :) | HORSCHECK Sat Nov 22, 2008 22:55 UTC Natalie, lovely little page here. Southport seems to be a place full of English seaside traditions. The Marine Way bridge looks indeed impressive. |
