Puerto Pollensa in the Northern part of Majorca is a world apart from the hustle and bustle of the Southern end. It still retains a lot of the Spanish charm. Strolling along the beach in the evening is a romantic experience. Passing many lovely restaurants on the way you can wander past the marina where the yachts are moored, past the pavement cafes and walk through the Pine walk to the end of the lovely beach. The old town has also retained the charm of a Spanish village although it is a lot more built up now. We stayed the hotel Romantic on the seafront and although very basic it was adequate for our needs. There are however many lovely apartments and smaller guest houses at the far end of Puerto Polensa which are worth checking out. |
