Most of the little villages around Amiens are pretty and have their own charm but this one caught my eye. A couple of bars, a couple of shops, a tourist information office an old churchand an red post box! Twinned with an English town it also is home to one of the German war grave cemeteries in the region. Bray-sur-Somme is an important fishing centre just over 20 miles east of Amiens in the attractive Picardy region of northern France, an area of woods, lakes and hills. Its position on the gently-flowing Somme means that it has many associations with the First World War. |
